“Derek Jeter reaches to shake the hand of Victor Jose Martinez, son of Detroit Tigers player Victor Martinez, during workout day before their MLB American League Division Series”.

Derek Jeter 3,000th hit reaction, 7/9/11.

Derek Jeter hits a 3-2 pitch from David Price for a solo homer in the third inning. This swing is history - 3,000 hits. 7/9/11

Derek Jeter - the Bombers’ first-round draft pick in 1992 - sits in the old Yankee Stadium dugout holding his Minor League Player of the Year Award after hitting .344 with 40 SB while jumping from Single-A to Triple-A. (Sept. 14, 1994)

In order to help promote some new ticket plan the Cubs have going on, the Cubs have decided to manufacture some shortstop drama. Go on over to the Cubs website, and this will greet you - Starlin Castro vs Derek Jeter. Never mind that the two are in different leagues and are at two different stages of their career (to put it in perspective: when Derek Jeter was drafted, Starlin Castro was two years old). But, hey, why not drum up some bit between a long-time face of baseball with the budding face of your own franchise when you need some money in your pockets.
For the record, I got Castro in this faux battle, only because I am nothing if not a total homer when I can be.

I hope Jeter takes it easy when celebrating his new contract.
OMG IS THAT MEGAN? ARI, SHOONON, HELP ME OUT HERE
OHMYGOD, WHY IS JETER WITH MEGAN. WHY, JETER, WHY.
